Third Month - Filming and Analysis - Encountering the Dramatic Form.
This class concentrates on filming the dramatic text. A series of films scripts of varying styles is discussed and analyzed. The actor is encouraged to see each script as a sequence of events that is dynamic and in-motion. As the actor comes to understand thesignificance of the events which comprise a screenplay, he/she arrives at a conceptual understanding of the script that is rooted in the film's dramatic structure. The actor will start rehearsal work on a one-act screen play or monologue, which will be video-filmed during the third and fourth month of training.
